Generation Next Mentorship

MENTORING PROGRAM

Enrollment is now open for the Spring 2023 session.

At Millcraft, we’re bursting with talent and experience. We owe this, in part, to the dedicated “mentors” among our staff who’ve helped their fellow employees learn and advance in their careers.

At the heart of Generation Next is a mentoring program made available to any employee wishing to advance in their career. The program designates qualified mentors who serve as trusted advisers to mentees.

The yearly program includes 3-month check-in points where Mentors and Mentees can evaluate their experience and determine if they’d like to continue together, or receive a new mentorship match.

Why become a mentor?

Develop a renewed sense of enthusiasm for your role

Gain an understanding of new barriers experienced at the entry-level of our organization

Enhance your skills in coaching, counseling, listening, and modeling

WHY BECOME A MENTEE?

Improve your skillset and gain more knowledge in the area of your interest

Get advice and learn new ways to solve problems

Build the career you’ve been hoping for with help from experienced Millcraft employees

What to expect

Mentors and Mentees wishing to enroll in the program will be asked to complete a questionnaire that will determine ideal mentor and mentee matches based on shared goals and experiences. After matches are selected, Generation Next will make an initial introduction and will host a virtual orientation where participants will learn the expectations of the program. Mentors and mentees will then work together for a 3-month mentoring period.

After each 3-month mentoring period, we’ll check in with both the mentor and mentee to see if their expectations were met. Mentors and Mentees will then have the option to continue working together or receive a different match to align with the mentee’s career goals.
