proHere are six steps Millcraft is taking while operating as an “essential critical infrastructure business” during the COVID-19 crisis. Keep these guidelines in mind as you create your own “Return to Work” best practices. Then confidently welcome your valuable employees and customers back to a safe and productive environment…when the time is right.
We have equipped all of our “essential workers” with a set of documents verifying Millcraft’s status as an “essential business”. These papers provide proof of eligibility to work and travel during the course of their job shift.
Most companies don’t have the practical resources to conduct on-site temperature checks accurately, efficiently and confidentially. Instead, our system allows employees to take their own temperatures from home, BEFORE they report to work. They simply email a confidential photo of the thermometer reading to their supervisor to qualify them to work. Temperatures must be below 100.4F, following CDC guidelines.
Make it as easy as possible for your employees to maintain their own individual hygiene. This includes conveniently placed hand sanitizing stations and clear signage on updated policies for kitchens, break areas and restrooms.
The distance between individual work spaces will likely need to be adjusted to comply with distancing protocols, Consider temporary partitions where possible. Strategically placed signage and floor graphics help remind everyone to keep that important 6′ distance in reception, office and common areas.
We require face coverings for all of our on-site employees. We are also proud to offer a wide range of PPE products to help our customers meet government requirements to re-open their businesses.
We should all be increasing the frequency and scope of our professional cleaning services. It is just as important to hold employees responsible for cleaning and sanitizing personal work spaces throughout the day. We can help enforce these policies by providing plenty of hand sanitizers, surface disinfectants and waste bins throughout our buildings.
