Millcraft Paper Supports United Way with “Buy + Give” Charitable Program

Cleveland, Ohio – March 2012 - The Millcraft Paper Company has expanded its “Buy+Give” community outreach initiative to support United Way through an individual business supply purchasing program. Millcraft has partnered with a core supplier - Domtar Paper - to create a specifically branded “United Way” multi-purpose, office copy and printer paper.   For every carton purchased of “United Way” office paper, Millcraft will donate $1 in the name of the purchasing business .

A volunteer-driven non-profit organization, United Way is dedicated to raising and investing funds to improve the lives of people in our community.   United Way brings together people, area businesses, other non-profit organizations and government agencies to address the needs of some and improve our community for all. Locally, United Way of Greater Cleveland funds 216 health and human service programs and three federated agencies that help more than 450,000 Greater Cleveland residents every year. Funds are strategically invested to focus on solving some of our community’s most pressing problems in the areas of Self-Sufficiency & Basic Needs; Education, Children & Families; Community Health; Behavioral Health; Aging & Special Needs; and Capacity Building.  Having supported United Way of Greater Cleveland for more than 50 years, Millcraft chose organization specifically to benefit from its “Buy + Give” program because of its far reach in the local community and hopes to expand the program to United Ways regionally and possibly nationally.

Millcraft’s “Buy + Give” business supply program provides area businesses the opportunity to support designated locally-based, non-profit organizations through routine business purchases such as business and office paper and supplies. Millcraft is partnering with its core paper and supply manufacturers to create a series of private-branded product lines within the “Buy + Give” program.

United Way is the second named beneficiary of Millcraft’s “Buy+Give” initiative.   The program was launched last year with the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital’s “Lend a Hand” program as the inaugural beneficiary.
